Welcome to Holmesglen

In 2009 Holmesglen celebrates 27 years in the education area. Holmesglen has grown significantly since its inception in 1982. Originally delivering 90 programs to some 7,000 students, the Institute now offers over 600 programs to more than 50,000 students per year including over 4,000 international students on its Chadstone, Waverley and Moorabbin campuses.

Holmesglen enjoys an enviable reputation for educational excellence. Close links to business and industry have enabled the Institute to develop courses and qualifications that accurately reflect today¿s requirements of business and industry and incorporate ever-changing workplace practices.

We continue to work closely with universities in Melbourne to provide attractive pathway opportunities for students into Bachelor's degrees. In addition, Holmesglen is increasing the number of degrees on offer. To complement its current offerings in business and building, we have added additional options in building and new opportunities in education and screen production. These courses provide students with a distinct difference to other degrees with the applied nature of the teaching.

Many international students add to their learning experience when they get involved in the various community based programs offered at Holmesglen. Each year a full program of trips and activities is offered to students, including trips to Sydney and the Gold Coast as well as to Central Australia. Weekend activities include skiing, whale watching, learning to surf, fishing or a trip along Victoria's world-famous Great Ocean Road. Holmesglen continues to develop its rural learning centre at a property near Eildon, in central Victoria, to provide camping and recreational facilities for students. This facility will provide a range of programs that will allow students to develop and enhance their leadership and teamwork skills.

I look forward to welcoming you to Holmesglen and to you sharing in the benefits of studying at one of Australia's leading edge educational institutions.
